Job Description

We currently have 2 permanent, full time opportunities and seek to appoint a Group Services Administrator to join our team in Grafton Campus. 

A Group Service Administrator will undertake a range of activities primarily focused around teaching support and course administration, including assessment and examination administration for a variety of medical postgraduate courses.  These are core activities with processes driven by the University’s teaching schedule and deadlines. They are often the ‘go-to’ or ‘subject matter experts, so your organisation and people skills need to be second to none.

Important Skills/ Experience| Nga Pūkenga Motuhake

Ideally you will have the following skills and experience:

  • 1-2 years’ administration experience, ideally gained in a tertiary environment.
  • Strong Coordinator
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (Intermediate level would be helpful).
  • Immaculate attention to detail, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage a busy workload;
  • Support Committee Meetings, taking minutes
  • Updating website content
  • Accounts Admin experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, as you will be working collaboratively as part of a high-performing team with an outstanding customer focus for the school’s key stakeholders.

Candidates with knowledge and experience of Student Services Online (SSO), the University’s LMS system (CANVAS), SharePoint and proficiency in Microsoft suite of packages, particularly Teams will be strongly considered.

Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the team

The role sits within the Group Services Team Structure, the team provides support services to academic staff in schools and/or departments delivering courses, programmes and research.

The team’s main focus is to support academic heads and academic staff with activities such as assessment and exam administration and school and department strategic planning.  They also support with the Schools/Departments administrative responsibilities and liaise with other functional areas such as central service teams on their behalf.
