The opportunity

As we move into our peak period, we are looking for exceptional Customer Service Representatives to help us with a high volume of enquiries from October/November 2020 until the end of March 2021.

The role of Customer Service Representative (Student Services Advisor) within the Student Contact and Support Centre at The University of Auckland is a pivotal position that will give you a unique opportunity to be of service to our most important customers: our current and future students.

We pride ourselves on providing an excellent and consistent level of service to students. We cover a broad range of queries which ensures your day is varied and allows for inbound and outbound interactions through email, phone calls, and other channels.

This position is rostered. Our standard business hours are between 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, however there may be some Saturdays and Public Holidays included in your roster. We work 7,5 hours a day and start times will vary to accommodate operational demands.

Who are we looking for?

In short, we are looking for candidates who understand that excellent customer service is not a department, but an attitude. This means you must be able to demonstrate strong communication, problem solving and computer skills.

Your passion for great customer service is further demonstrated through excellent listening skills as well as an eye for detail. You take pride in your work and combine this with a healthy sense of humour and self-awareness. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will engage you in this varied role.

Relevant experience in the tertiary sector will be considered an asset, however not essential.
