The Medical Programme Directorate (MPD) at the University of Auckland in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences is seeking to appoint an experienced person as a Practicum Placement Coordinator.

The main purpose of the role is to assist with the coordination of national and international Selective and Elective placements for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB). They will provide professional and effective administrative support for this component of the programme whist develop and maintain relationships with the external practicum placement providers.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent computer literacy with a high level of Microsoft Excel skills
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication verbal and written
  • Tertiary qualification or relevant experience
  • Experience of working in an administrative role with many stakeholders
  • Experience working in an environment  requiring high levels of customer service
