A talented lab technician is being sought to provide lab support to multiple, highly respected research groups across the department. 

The role involves a wide range of responsibilities, meaning the ideal candidate must be well organised, able to multitask and adapt to the dynamic nature of working with multiple research teams when required. 

Some of these responsibilities include;

  • Ordering supplies and equipment
  • Equipment maintenance and organisation
  • Maintaining and documenting lab cleanliness and safety standards
  • Managing lab databases
  • Training students

Skills/Experience

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a BSc (or higher degree), a strong background in cell culture and virology and a good understanding of PC2 laboratory processes.

As an integral member of the team, the successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to perform guided research as required. An ability to meet deadlines and efficiently multitask is a must.
