Reporting to the Academic Services Team Leader, this role is responsible for the provision of effective and efficient coordination of academic administration and regulatory processes across the Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences (FMHS) working with schools, departments and central academic services.

Job Description

We’re seeking a talented individual who can demonstrate an understanding of and experience in delivering high quality outcomes for our academic staff, schools and students. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be a passionate team player, and have a solid administrative background.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with the wider Student Centre team including Student Academic Advisers and Student Support Advisors, to resolve complex admission, enrolment and records maintenance requests and ensure all students are in compliance of programme regulations
  • Respond promptly and accurately to student-related queries using the University Customer Management System.
  • Assist with graduation as required.
  • You may also have responsibility for one or more of the various specialist portfolios including regulatory requirements, timetabling, and scholarships & prizes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role within a large and complex organisation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a proactive customer focus
  • You’ll also have a can-do attitude, immaculate attention to detail, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage a busy workload.
  • Experience working under pressure to meet non-negotiable deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Expert knowledge and experience in the Microsoft suite is essential.  Knowledge of Syllabus Plus or similar timetabling systems and PeopleSoft would be highly desirable.  

Your ability to build robust relationships with internal stakeholders while managing expectations will also be key to your success in this role.
