New Zealand eScience Infrastructure (NeSI) is a collaboration of four institutions, including the University of Auckland, working in partnership with the NZ Government, providing High Performance Computing (HPC), analytics and consultancy services to the NZ research sector, Government agencies and Industrial Research.  Our primary aim is to grow the computing and analytics capability of researchers to ensure New Zealand’s future prosperity.

About the role

NeSI is looking for early career computational science savvy graduates who are interested in research computing to join the NeSI Solutions team to provide front line level 1 support to researchers on New Zealand’s largest computers. 

The Application Support Analyst role, whilst employed by the University of Auckland, is a national position, supporting researchers in areas such as frontline issue management, platform access, resource allocations and project database maintenance. The role acts as the first point of contact for the research community to NeSI services and requires strong communication and team engagement skills, working actively across the NeSI team to support query resolution.
