The day-to-day focus of the Senior Accountant position will be to provide accounting and financial support company wide. This includes understanding and managing certain general ledger accounts, detail analysis and presentation of financial data, preparation and recording of journal entries, preparation and review of monthly account reconciliations, and other similar activities or ad hoc requests. This position must be a strong accountant who is eager to learn and contribute towards continuous improvement within the shared services model.

• Provide monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in compliance with GAAP
• Perform monthly financial variance analysis, including research, documentation and communication of account fluctuations
• Take ownership of assigned GL accounts and ensure accuracy, understanding, and consistency of application and compliance with GAAP
• Prepare documentation for external auditors for quarterly reviews and year end audits
• Establish productive relationships within finance and other departments
• Maintain financial records in compliance with corporate policies and procedures
• Act as business partner with management to provide recommendations to improve month end processes, financial controls, forecasting and general analytics
• Analyze current processes and make recommendations for process improvement
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree with an Accounting concentration
• 4+ years of experience in General Ledger Accounting
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• SOX Internal Control Experience preferred
• Strong ability to audit, review and advise on standards and adjustment made to ensure quality financials
• Strong organization skills
• Able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
• Demonstrates high level of customer service and professionalism
• High level of attention to detail and analytical skills
• SAP experience a plus
• Public Accounting experience a plus
