The Tile Shop a National Retailer of ceramic tile, natural stone and related products is looking for a full time CAD Technician to be part of our new store and remodel construction team.  The CAD Technician will interact continually on a cross-functional basis to efficiently and effectively develop layouts for new stores, remodels, and merchandising materials.

• Review drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
• Use existing or create new drawings to develop working drawings of cabinets, model kitchens, bathrooms, and other home areas used in the building and construction of our new and existing stores.
• Create drawings of merchandising components such as signs, store layouts, and store front elevations.
• Work directly with the design and merchandising team.
• Correspond with The Tile Shop’s outside Architect on projects providing information and internal drawings.
• Translate initial rough product sketches and/or designs into working documents through using computer aided design (AutoCAD).
• Other duties as assigned.

• Proficient in AutoCAD 2011 or a later version.
• Associates degree or greater in a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in the field or related area.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks.
• Works well in a team oriented environment including cross-functionally and has a willingness to learn and grow.
• Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to use creativity.
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS office suite is a must.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Keen sense for attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Revit experience is a plus.
