Job Description

  • Develops and maintains all systems, security, and network configurations, and determine network requirements.
  • Install and support LANs, WANs, SD-WANs, network segments, Internet and intranet systems. 
  • Install and maintain network hardware and software. Design and deploy networks.
  • Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to users and retail stores.
  • Evaluate and monitor system and network performance, troubleshooting poor performing network segments.
  • Perform network address assignment.  Assign routing protocols and routing table configurations.
  • Understanding of QoS, SIP and other voice protocols, and Unified Communications.
  • Troubleshoot incoming incidents from end users via phone and tickets created via a Self Service portal
  • Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, security appliances, routers, switches, VPN devices, load balancers
  • Provide 24/7 emergency support when need. Takes ownership of unplanned system outages/service impacts and drive timely resolution.
  • Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan
  • Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • ​​​​​​5 plus years of hands-on experience in network routing and switching
  • Experience managing firewall rules and NAT
  • Prior working experience with LAN/WAN& SD-WAN 
  • Prior working experience with VPN
  • Router/Swtich/Firewall/Wireless experience
  • MPLS and Broadband Experience
  • Ability to understand and document network connections, write support procedures
  • Prior use of monitoring tools such as Solarwinds
  • Work with teleco and network providers
  • CNA, Network +, other network certifications
  • Working experience with the following vendors’ products
    • Cisco - routers/switches/firewalls/Fabric Interconnects
    • Juniper - SRX routers and switches
    • Citrix - SD-WAN, Netscalers
    • Aruba – WIFI
  • Experience with Data Cabling / Computer Facilities maintenance
  • Some experience with networking to cloud computing and cloud resources
  • Experience troubleshooting various end-user issues, not limited to networking related issues
  • Ability to understand and document network connections, write support procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive efforts to completion
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to advance skillset with either certifications or continuing education

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or BA degree in Computer Science or a related degree preferred but not required, or equivalent education and work experience
  • 3+ years hands on experience with Cisco Routers, Switches & Wireless equipment
  • 3+ years’ progressive experience administering all aspects of LAN/WAN for company with several (more than 140+) remote locations
  • 5+ years’ experience in system administration as a Network Administrator or similar role
  • Prior work with Work with teleco and network
