Biomedical Engineer

US Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA)

We are seeking Biomedical Engineers to support the US Army Medical Materiel Agency’s (USAMMA) mission to develop, manage and perform end to end life cycle logistics on medical equipment to protect and sustain the Warfighter’s and their families for the Nation. This position is responsible for working with the Tauri Group's team supporting our DoD customer to support the advanced development and fielding of military medical equipment, as well as participating in programs which oversee lifecycle maintenance and implementation.

 

Responsibilities

Support evaluation of Biomedical Equipment
- Analyze medical equipment using maintenance data, usage and life cycle data, technology standards
- Provide input and written reports, evaluations and recommendations fixed facility hospitals on their standard of care
- Ensure that the biomedical equipment is in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and quality control standards
- Create and evaluate Systems Requirements Documents (SRD’s) for purchase criteria within each Request for Offer package (RFO)
- Evaluate RFO packages conducting down selections for equipment purchases through the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)
- Assist with design, help develop and provide safety testing, repair, and maintenance

Qualifications

Candidates must have a current minimum Public Trust clearance

 Education and Experience Required

  • Public Trust Clearance: Desired: Secret
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of ten (10) years general experience and seven (7) of experience 7 Years of experience with biomedical equipment test and repair
  • Experience lead IPTs and other stakeholder engagements including technical discussions
  • Experience preparing and delivering documents ranging from technical reviews to acquisition documentation
  • Desired: experience with medical product development, DoD T&E requirements, and regulatory approval processes
