This is a growth opportunity for those with prior experience as a Caregiver or CNA in a long-term care community or equivalent.

In this trainee program, you will start in a caregiver position for 8 weeks on the floor to become acquainted with our residents, staff, and systemsThis is also a time to show that you are competent, reliable, professional, and punctual. From there, we will train you as a medication technician with a corresponding pay increase!

The Springs is dedicated to growing our staff and promoting from within! If you would like to one day be trained for licensure, we would support this as well. Medication technicians are typically the ones in line for promotions to memory care coordinator or resident services coordinator, and health services administrator, for example. Job Description

  • Here are our open shifts:

  • 2 PM - 10 PM
  • 18 years of age
  • Prior experience as a caregiver or CNA in a facility (not just home care)
  • Ability to pass criminal background and drug test
  • Love for seniors and willingness to learn
  • Caregivers - first eight weeks of trainee program:

  • Support residents with activities of daily living (ADL's) as indicated in their service plans.
  • Provide warmth, companionship, and patience to support residents' physical and mental health
  • Assist in the development and revision of Service Plans by informing the supervisor of current resident needs and preferences as well as successful service approaches.
  • Answer pages and call lights as soon as possible.
  • Medication Technician - job duties:

  • Administers medications and treatments to residents as directored by their doctors
  • Measures vital signs and weight; and performs other health services tasks
  • Communicates with physicians, implementing physician orders, and reporting and documenting pertinent information
  • Works closely with home health, hospice, and pharmacy services
  • The Med Tech role is the shift supervisor when management staff are not present
  • Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

    Salary: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour

Qualifications

 

  • Caregiving or CNA: 1 year (Required)
  • Ability to pass criminal background and drug test
