We are looking for a cheerful, optimistic, organized, and motivated person who loves to enrich the lives of seniors. This position is specifically responsible for implementing meaningful and appropriate activities for our residents. Necessary characteristics and skills for this position include: natural hospitality instincts, hard work ethic, sense of urgency, work schedule given, ability to take direction, ability to multitask, presenting a professional appearance, maintaining confidentiality, excellent verbal communications abilities, high standard of ethics and integrity, and creativity in carrying out community activities. This position involves residents in outings to restaurants and music venues alongside supporting activities like crafts, bingo, games, picnics, BBQ, and birthday parties, to name a few.
Schedule will generally be either Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday, 8:30 AM - 5 PM but will also require flexing one's schedule to accommodate evening and weekend events. The wage is $12.50/hour for someone without any experience.
This position is for an independent worker who will take the lead in encouraging resident participation and have sensitivity to the resident's individual needs, as well as be a team player who loves to collaborate. Flexibility is key in this position. We are looking for that perfect candidate who can bring energy and excitement to not only our residents but to our coworkers.
- Previous experience in senior housing especially working with cognitively or memory challenged seniors is preferred
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Publisher a plus
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a drug test and criminal background check
Full Time Position
Flexible Schedule and weekends.
