The Finance Team at The Springs Living is growing and is looking to add a Financial Analyst to lead/support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities in a fast paced and entrepreneurial company.

The Financial Analyst will help develop planning and analysis systems and tools, through collaboration with internal stakeholders across the organization, to provide financial guidance on key business decisions. This position will collaborate with the Director of Finance on preparation of management/stakeholder reporting, quarterly and yearly forecasts, risk management strategies, KPI monitoring, and the development of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. Additional ad-hoc financial analyses are required.

Job Description

  • Financial Planning & Analysis Focus:
    • Develop ongoing financial models and systems to support strategic initiatives within multi-entity capital structures and multi-property environments
    • Monitor key performance indicators, highlight trends, analyze variances and effectively narrate performance opportunities and risks to functional leaders and senior living management
    • Support the production and distribution of financial and management reports in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer, Director of Finance, Financial Analysts and Controller
    • Produce ad-hoc reports and analyses utilizing internal and external data
    • Drive insightful, data driven analyses to provide key insights into the business to drive growth and improve efficiency
    • Develop budget assumptions by reviewing historical performance, financial trends, and anticipated market conditions, in collaboration with department heads
    • Aid in the development and implementation of a standardized forecasting and analysis process
    • Prepare presentations for Boards, Committees and Executive Leadership Team as needed
  • Commercial Credit Analysis Focus:
    • Work closely with bankers and investors to analyze loan needs and options available to meet organization financial goals
    • Manage online commercial debt database
    • Support commercial loan origination and refinance transactions
    • Recognize and mitigate credit and industry risks
    • Analyze and complete term loan reviews across portfolio
    • Ensure regulatory and bank compliance of all loan packages
  • Investor Relations Focus:
    • Assist with preparation of materials for annual meetings, quarterly conference calls and other presentations to Limited Partners
    • Monitor and tracks all aspects of investor relations
    • Manage the distribution of all financial and legal related communications to Limited Partners
    • Primary day to day contact for existing and new investor queries

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or business administration, and 3+ years of progressively responsible experience for an established company
  2. Superior knowledge of financial planning and analysis
  3. Financial acumen including demonstrated understanding of financial statements and related disclosures
  4. Experience in commercial banking and investor relations helpful but not required
  5. Must be capable of developing relationships with a wide variety of industry participants
  6. Proven ability to analyze data from multiple sources including internal and external systems and resources
  7. Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with people of diverse backgrounds to secure and/or provide information to clarify situations provide feedback, coaching and training, and to resolve problems
  8. Excellent analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills
  9. Advanced skills in utilizing Excel, BI, PowerPivot, PowerPoint and Accounting Software for advance analytics
