Job Description

Our business is evolving and we’re looking for people who are up for the challenge of joining our Bingo Venues, as we continue on our journey to Mecca of the Future.

We have several exciting openings throughout the UK for Trainee General Managers to join the Mecca family; in return, you’ll be fully trained to be able to perform all elements of the General Manager role successfully, so you’re fully able to look after our wonderful Mecca customers and team and eventually become a General Manager of your own Venue.

As a Trainee General Manager, you will be developed to the role of General Manager who is accountable for delivering consistent standards and results. You will learn to grow revenue and identify new opportunities to provide our customers with unique entertainment experiences. You will be a confident communicator able to mentor, coach and engage your team to deliver your vision for success.

As a Bingo business, we have operated in an environment where the key skills needed were revenue extraction and cost control. So, what’s changed? Mecca Bingo is part of The Rank Group and as a business, we’re going through a 3-year Transformation Programme, meaning that we need to look at how we maximise revenue generation in every business area. We’re moving into a period of rapid change and huge investment.

You don’t need to have a background in Bingo; all we ask is that you have experience of working in a hospitality, leisure or entertainment business and demonstrate a fun, energetic, caring nature and excellent leadership qualities. We’re looking for someone with a growth mindset, a focus on expanding the local customer-base, a passion for people that releases the energy and values of our team and a passion for our business that inspires those around them.

Maybe you’ve worked in pubs, an entertainment venue or spent long weekends working in restaurants… if so then you probably have the resilience and passion for customer experience that we’re looking for.
