Job Description

For this unique position that will be on the front lines of a competitive campaign, The Prosper Group seeks a Digital Director to serve as the social media rapid response point of contact for a Statewide Candidate of Kentucky.  This position will be embedded for the Statewide Candidate's campaign and serve as the eyes and ears on the ground to help drive social media strategy, manage and plan content, and take charge to run approvals on a variety of content across social, email, texting, and other digital channels.

Looking for an eager individual with 2+ years’ experience working within political comms, political marketing agency, political campaigns, and/or advocacy groups/organizations. 

This person must have the desire to make in impact in conservative politics.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the specialist who develops organic social media content across multiple social channels.
  • Identify social media opportunities by keeping abreast of local, state, and national political news.
  • Quickly develop political messaging, social media, and content such as short format video, graphics and “meme quality” content that capitalizes on current events, pop culture and political news.
  • Identify and manage photo and video assets, including basic graphic video editing for posting on social media, and be ready to communicate content ideas to a supporting team of graphic and video designers.
  • Colaborate with other team members at Prosper Group to service this political campaign.

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to work and live in Central Kentucky for a full-time presence at the campaign headquarters.
  • Valid Driver's License with reliable vehicle and willing to work evenings and weekends at the Candidate's request.
  • Possesses a strong interest and passion in conservative politics.
  • Basic ability to edit short videos and graphics or have the ability to learn quickly.
  •  Preferred experience with social media management tools and video editing tools.
  • Self-starter with excellent organization skills.
  • Possesses excellent writing skills, able to communicate clearly and have a great attention to detail.
  • Experience with multiple social media platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills, and verbal and written communications for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced schedule with high volume of work, ever-changing goals, times, and tasks.
