Job Description

About the role:

We seek an applicant who is self-motivated, has good communication skills and is able to work unsupervised, as well as part of a team. Undertake maintenance and repair work for the restaurant building and grounds to ensure it is a safe environment for the organisation. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Ensure building systems and machines run smoothly e.g. air conditioning, pumps etc.
  • Undertake repair/maintenance work as required to school buildings e.g. replacing locks, windows & light bulbs, patching holes, woodwork repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment
  • Estimate repair costs and document repairs undertaken
  • Handle, store, and distribute goods and materials
  • Move equipment and furniture as required
  • Upkeep organisation grounds e.g. mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, disposing of litter
  • Assist with company improvements e.g. fencing, paving, and gardening projects
  • Complete daily grounds maintenance reports
  • Train new employees in grounds-keeping duties.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in general maintenance of grounds/buildings
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and general trade maintenance
  • Understanding of machinery/equipment operation relating to building maintenance
  • Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Trade background is desirable
  • Current driver’s licence and use of own vehicle
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment    
  • You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance.
