Job Description

Role Objective

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the company's facilities and infrastructure. This role focuses on analysing facility data, research, optimizing processes, and implementing strategies to enhance facility performance, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret facility-related data to identify trends and opportunities for research and improvement
  • Review existing and new setup requests utilizing case requirements to ensure proper controls are in place to mitigate risks
  • Provide on-going suggestions and improvements to evolving operation support case requirements
  • Assign Strategic and SLA requests within 24 hours to comply with the Service Level Agreements on maintenance software/application
  • Assign cases based on the skill set of each maintenance agents on maintenance software/application
  • Generate regular reports outlining facility performance, maintenance needs, and cost analysis
  • Support in research and developing the master maintenance schedule/plan so that activities are coordinated internally and externally in accordance to maintenance standard practice
  • Perform technical research and validation of equipment/asset modification for improved operation process support
  • Research, analyses and resolves implementation conflicts that could cause excessive downtime or introduce risk

Qualifications

  • A minimum of second class upper (2:1) bachelor's degree from a reputable university in mechanical engineering
  • A minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience in maintenance/facility management & engineering
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools & software
  • Must be trustworthy and intelligent; - ability to research, acquire knowledge and learn new skills and improve with good judgement
  • Ability to self-study and deliver, possess good energy and self-drive
  • Must be a performer, getting task delivered independently with little or no supervision, dependable and a go-getter
