Job Description

Overview

This position is responsible for supervising the branch store team, receiving supplies, maintaining receipts, records, and planning replenishment when stock is low, ensuring safety of materials and managing all store related activities. Reports to the Regional Inventory Supervisor.

Job Description

  • To oversee the entire operation of a branch store. Be responsible for his team performance.
  • Be accountable to deliver acceptable quality of work on a daily basis
  • To receive the materials supplied by the vendor as per the purchase order placed by the Procurement department.
  • To check the materials thoroughly for quality, quantity, specification, condition etc.
  • Carry out periodical physical verification and assess the stock position.
  • To categories the materials and stock in the appropriate locations.
  • To take appropriate action for care and preservation of the materials.
  • To take safety measures to ensure the safety of materials and all stock room staff.
  • To maintain the neatness and tidiness of the store house.
  • To issue materials to the departments as per indents.
  • To check the indents for correctness in all respects. If found OK, they issue the materials. If any mistake or discrepancy is found, the indent is returned for rectification.
  • To pass the invoices received from vendor and send it to Accounts department for payment.
  • To carry out periodical check for obsolete materials and report to the store management
  • To update cold storage temperature checklist every 3hours and escalate when there’s an anomaly.
  • To take action for disposal of scraps materials as per the procedure.
  • To maintain up-to-date records
  • To send reports of weekly activities to supervisor every Monday morning.
  • To carry out weekly cycle count program and reconcile stock related discrepancies
  • Reports all operational issues to the store management
  • In addition to the above, any other duties assigned by the store management

Qualifications

Requirements & Qualification

  • Minimum of HND/BSc
  • Good knowledge of Inventory management and control. Professional certification in Inventory, Logistics and Supply will be an advantage. Ability to lead a team effectively.
  • At lease 1-2yrs experience in similar position
