Currently, our operations span across 33 locations in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria, with rapid expansion plans to penetrate more locations in the short to medium term.

Job Description

  • Work with the HR department to support the People Management needs of the Operations department
  • Identifies areas of concern with HR partners and leaders on employee relations issues and recommends solutions.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to tell holistic stories about our people and culture to inform HR and business strategies, particularly in the area of staff turnover and retention
  • Recommends best practices with practical implementation strategies and educates leaders on employee relations matters.
  • Plan employee resource requirement for the different grade levels
  • Manage succession planning, particularly for supervisory roles and above
  • Review and update performance appraisal criteria for different staff levels
  • Support in conducting seamless periodic performance appraisals for staff
  • Periodically update policies, such as disciplinary and compensation policy, based on dynamism of employee offences and related issues
  • Identify training needs/staff inefficiencies for different grade levels (particularly back of house), document and facilitate training sessions as required.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of human resources generalist experience demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including employee relations and performance management in a reputable management consulting firm.
  • Prior experience providing human resources partnering in a service organization preferred.
  • Must be open to learning new things, be innovative, creative, and interested in learning every function of the business.
  • Must be a fast learner, dynamic and goal-driven with strong analytical skills, communication, interpersonal and business writing skills.
  • A self-starter and a team-player with high levels of drive and energy
  • Must possess a high level of integrity, determination and personal commitment.
  • Must possess strong intellect, enthusiasm and resilience to compete in today’s challenging business environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Organizational Development a plus.
