Job Description

Position Summary

  • The Entry-Level Civil Engineer position at Parish Survey & Engineering is an essential, on-site support role focused on CAD drafting and design.
  • This role supports Project Managers in the execution of diverse private development projects, from residential subdivisions to commercial sites. The position is ideal for a proactive team player who is eager to learn and committed to developing their career.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design of 5-10 projects at a time, including residential, commercial, and subdivision projects, including grading plans, drainage, paving, water main and sewers, and prepare storm water management reports.
  • Perform CAD drafting for a variety of civil engineering and land surveying projects.
  • Support the Senior/Lead Project Manager with weekly task lists and daily priorities. Such as preparing plans, conducting surveys, designing, and calculating for permitting.
  • Conduct initial research, including using GIS sites to prepare base maps and set out the initial plan for the PM.
  • Communicate with project team members, client representatives, review agencies, and others as appropriate to the project.

Qualifications

  • Experience Level: 0–4 years of experience; recent Engineer grads are welcome. An internship is a plus.
  • Education: Must have graduated with an accredited degree in Engineering.
  • Certifications: Must be an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with aspirations to achieve PE status in Wisconsin.
  • Software: Experience with Civil 3D required, training is available for AutoCAD/HydroCAD.
