Job Description

The Role 

We are looking for a Revenue Operations Analyst to join our growing business. 

Being a Rev Ops Analyst at Ozone means owning the view of how we monetise publisher ad inventory and making recommendations about best practice and optimisations to drive revenue to publishers

This role requires experience of publisher yield and inventory management and a thorough understanding of the digital advertising environment which will allow you to see opportunities for improvement.

The successful candidate will be well-organised, detail-oriented and dependable with strong people & communication skills. The role will report to Ozone’s Head of Operational Analytics

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Drive effective monetisation of publisher inventory

    • Identify opportunities within publisher inventory and audiences to grow monetisation

    • Develop monetisation strategies that address key inventory supply impacts (for example traffic spikes, increased pressure from guaranteed bookings, publisher blocking and brand safety blocking)

    • Produce analysis that informs best practice in ad placement for publishers to support ad performance and yield (including ad ratios, placement on page)

    • Continuous drive towards improvements both when publisher monetisation is on track, and when it’s falling behind expectations

    • Continual focus on increasing opportunities for efficient monetisation of publisher inventory.

  • Ensure monetisation partners are delivering to expectations

    • Monitor health of ad partner connections, including producing framework to identify where partners are not driving incremental value - specifically in relation to publisher inventory

    • Deliver recommendations and support to the Head of Demand around engagement with Ad Partners

  • Contribute to strategic recommendations to improve Ozone’s real-time Open Market optimisation

    • Increasing yield through auction manipulation

    • Mapping of supply and demand to deliver recommendations around exposing opportunities to buyers

  • Contribute to pricing and packaging strategy for Ozone Guaranteed campaigns

    • Support Head of Operational Analytics to deliver recommendations around pricing that leverages opportunities from publishers and supports the overall aim of driving revenue

    • Work with Audience Analyst to identify audience performance in relation to  publisher inventory

  • Support Business Development with forecasting and modelling of opportunities

    • Use insight into publisher ad inventory to model opportunity and support on pricing models that work for both Ozone and publishers

  • Support Publisher Account Manager with QBRs and insights

    • Combine insights from all areas to support Publisher account management in QBRs and recommendations

Qualifications

Required experience/Skills:

  • Experience in publisher or ad partner yield or inventory management and a clear understanding of the levers available to change performance

  • A strong degree in Mathematics and/or Statistics or a related subject or significant experience in advanced data analysis, modelling and reporting

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data stories for technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience of problem solving using data, and data tools including visualisation and reporting tools

  • Experience of delivering change through your analysis and recommendations

  • Experience of working comfortably with large datasets

  • You should ideally have strong SQL skills and be familiar with a range of reporting & BI tools (incl. Google Big Query, Google Data Studio, Looker & DOMO),  or you may be able to demonstrate where you have developed and adopted new tools in order to meet business needs and solve problems

  • Understanding of the digital advertising landscape; participants, technologies & RTB protocol. A solid appreciation of, and passion for, the position that The Ozone Project occupies in this landscape

  • You will have a proven track-record building & executing robust test frameworks which deliver tangible business value

  • Demonstrable experience of key analytic techniques inc. regression, clustering and significance testing

  • Intellectiual curiosity and proactivity in abundance
