Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead Ozone’s data products, including user identity and the bidding platform’s auction mechanics. We’re looking for someone who is deeply analytical, understands the bidding economy in the ad tech sector, and has led a scrum team or has experience as an analyst or operator and would like to transition to a product role.

Ozone uses data to power media revenue for the entire news brand industry in the UK and many premium news organisations worldwide. This is a unique role that allows you to experiment with data sets and transition the experiments into meaningful product features.

Responsibilities

  • You'll take ownership of the data product roadmap, effectively communicating the story that the data tells to customers and others inside the company.

  • You'll have ownership of the Ozone experimentation platform, and responsibility to build product definition, and life-cycle management for Ozone’s data products

  • You will work together with the Ozone data team (data scientists, data engineers, and analysts) to implement experiments.  Results from the experiment will then turn into product features for the auction and audience platforms.

  • You will manage the product development lifecycle from start to finish, working closely with stakeholders, product, data and engineering teams

  • You'll collaborate with our publishers and commercial teams to connect data sets and develop data models

  • You’ll build data experiments and adapt auction mechanics to incorporate findings.

  • You’ll use various data signals to build audience identifiers, and work with data scientists to measure accuracy and performance.

Qualifications

  • Expert analytical skills with the ability to write SQL and manipulate data using spreadsheets

  • Experience in working with key ad technologies inc. Google Ad Manager, prebid server (Open RTB), SSPs, DSPs and data-management platforms

  • Adept organisation skills, ability to break down conceptual business problems into tasks that engineers and data scientists can understand.

  • We’re growing quickly, and we rely on collaboration, tools, and data to maintain quality products in this environment. You’ll be someone who is comfortable and excited to be in this type of environment, and can realise the value of building efficient processes rather than making one-off decisions

  • You’ll have exceptionally strong verbal communication skills at all levels of the organisation and clear, confident business-writing

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, or related technical field preferred
