Job Description
We are looking for a Market Research Operations Analyst to help manage survey data, maintain media station databases, perform rigorous quality control, and engage directly with station stakeholders. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where precision meets problem-solving, this role is for you!
As a Market Research Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of Nielsen data. You will bridge research operations, data entry, quality control, and stakeholder communication—ensuring high standards across all deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Coding & Quality Control: Review open-ended survey responses using defined logic; conduct rigorous checks on databases and downstream outputs to identify and fix data discrepancies.
- Database & Station Maintenance: Update and maintain reference files and station information used in reporting systems.
- Stakeholder Communication: Conduct phone and email outreach with station management to collect, clarify, and validate information; ask effective follow-up questions to fill in missing details.
- Root-Cause Problem Solving: Research complex classification issues and recurring discrepancies to implement long-term solutions rather than quick fixes.
- Operations & Workflow Management: Track daily production tasks, manage support tickets/escalations, and meet strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and delivery deadlines.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with internal teams to share best practices and propose ideas to streamline workflows, quality controls, and systems.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma (or equivalent) + 1–2 years of continuous office experience (e.g., data processing, data entry, accounts payable/receivable, or related operational roles).
- Attention to Detail: Proven ability to consistently execute rule-based work with high accuracy.
- Analytical Skills: Aptitude for spotting data trends, identifying discrepancies, and communicating clear recommendations.
- Communication: Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills for managing outbound calls and internal updates.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency with Google Workspace or comparable desktop productivity applications.
- Work Style: Calm under pressure, highly adaptable to new technologies/rules, and comfortable balancing urgent requests with high-volume production tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of U.S. geography and the media landscape (TV, radio, streaming).
- Prior experience in survey response coding, market research, or database maintenance.
- Familiarity with ticketing, workflow, or case-management tracking tools.
- External client or station operator communication experience.
