About the role: 

The Director, HXM Technology & Enterprise HR Platforms will be the strategic technology leader responsible for the end-to-end management, governance, implementation, and continuous optimization of our global HR technology ecosystem.

Based in the Global Capability Center in Bangalore, this role will lead a team of 35+ professionals driving standardization, operational efficiency, system security, and technology enablement across all global entities. The Director will serve as the principal owner for SAP SuccessFactors, SmartRecruiters, 360Learning, Employee Central Payroll (ECP) platforms, ensuring high system reliability, business alignment, and a modern digital experience for all global employees.             

Responsibilities:  

Strategic Roadmap & HXM Platform Ownership

  • System Ownership: Act as the primary technology authority and business owner for core HXM systems, primarily SAP SuccessFactors (including Onboarding, Employee Profile, Performance & Goals, Talent Management, Integration to 3rd Party systems, and Employee Central Payroll), SmartRecruiters, 360Learning, and Integrations to 35+ odd various in-house and 3rd party systems.

  • Strategic Roadmap: Develop and execute a multi-year HXM technology transformation roadmap focused on increasing automation, system capability, and vertical/horizontal platform scalability.

  • Vendor & Contract Management: Direct RFP processes, draft and negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs), and manage third-party vendor performance and service delivery across the HXM footprint.

  • Financial Oversight: Manage technology budgets, forecasting, and contract renewals for all HXM platform software and integration partners.

Governance, Security & Business As Usual (BAU)

  • RBAC & Security Management: Drive global governance surrounding Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), data protection standards, operational compliance, and platform security frameworks.

  • Implementation & Project Execution: Oversee full-lifecycle global implementations, system upgrades, third-party integrations, and module rollouts.

  • BAU Operations & SLA Management: Define, monitor, and enforce operational KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to guarantee baseline stability, system performance, and responsive tier-3 user support.

Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team of 35+ HXM technology professionals, driving clear accountability, skill development, and strong operational output.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with HR Information Systems (HRIS) data management leads, Global HR Operations (GHRO), Strategy & Architecture, and global business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.

  • Global Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for global executives, driving change management strategies, training plans, and stakeholder alignment to eliminate friction and elevate solution adoption.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, HR Systems, or a related field.

  • Experience: 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience overseeing enterprise HR systems, global implementations, and complex system support operating models.

  • Implementation Track Record: Hands-on leadership experience running at least two full-lifecycle global implementations in core SuccessFactors modules: Onboarding, Employee Profile, Talent Management, Performance & Goals, Employee Central Payroll, and 3rd-party integrations.

  • Core Systems Footprint: Expert-level mastery across SAP SuccessFactors, SmartRecruiters, Employee Central Payroll module suites.

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications to manage the HXM footprint effectively and efficiently. 

Key Skills

  • Governance & Security: Deep knowledge of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), system audit readiness, and HR technology governance.

  • Commercial & Financial Acumen: Strong track record in RFP management, SOW drafting/negotiations, vendor performance oversight, and annual budget management.

  • Leadership & Scale: Proven experience managing, scaling, and mentoring high-output teams of 35+ internal and external resources.

  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of managing multi-market global stakeholders across HRIS, GHRO, IT, and business business lines.

Location

  • Willingness to be based in Bangalore, India, with flexibility for global travel as required.

This specific role leads the HXM technology team in close daily partnership with Global HR Operations, HRIS, global IT leads, and business executives across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific to build a unified global operating model.
