Job Description

As a Senior Research Analyst, Production and Delivery, you will serve as a pivotal lead across diverse cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of our mail screening surveys. You will manage complex production schedules and execute rigorous quality control measures, oversee daily BAU campaign and project execution, drive the rollout of strategic initiatives, and manage critical vendor relationships, including comprehensive security and compliance assessments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads daily production of the initial mail survey services for Nielsen TV and Audio panels with on time and accurate delivery to downstream processes. Ensures surveys and processes are set up for each release. Maintains oversight of job status for various data delivery points.  

  • Coordinates across multiple internal teams (mailing, scanning, phone, sampling, methodology) and external (printing, scanning, incentive, research) teams to ensure consistent and timely delivery of screening processes. Analyze and create production schedules, plan and schedule materials to meet production demand. 

  • Leads the coordination and rollout of new initiatives by defining and executing project timelines, facilitating effective communication, and leading standup calls across cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project implementation and strategic alignment.

  • Manages vendor relationships to define and ensure delivery SLAs and quality and security standards are met, ensure methodology and process updates are properly executed, manage payment processing, and ensure alignment with vendor contracts. Provide cost estimates and analysis for new initiatives and special projects. 

  • Ensures that all mailings and survey instruments/questionnaires are designed per specifications, and ensures that any planned changes are thoroughly scaled, scoped for downstream impact and clearly communicated for all setup and processing tasks and executed accordingly. 

  • Monitors job status for various data delivery points, proactively identifies potential delays and ensures timely communication of delivery risks to all downstream teams. Manages multiple projects/services simultaneously and is able to reprioritize independently.

  • Researches and analyzes data discrepancies and leverages cross-functional collaboration with different teams as needed to ensure timely and accurate delivery to all downstream processes.  

  • Identifies and resolves problems within their process area, coordinates defect tracking, problem solving and resolution autonomously, understands context and impact of business decisions, leverages different teams as needed to resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. Mitigates the risk of issue recurrences, and identifies future improvement opportunities to processes by analyzing data and current business rules.

  • Executes quality control measures to ensure processes and tasks are running error free. Oversees data validation and accuracy checks. Proactively Identifies new data validation strategies, eliminates duplication and minimizes error risk. Understands impacts and can provide strategic recommendations and process optimization to drive efficiency and scalability.

  • Provides guidance and strategic support to team members with their workload and responsibilities as needed, ensuring team objectives are met efficiently and effectively. Accountable for processes and ensures that other associates performing tasks related to these processes complete work on time. SME (Subject Matter Expert) for specific processes who answers questions, reassigns workload, and escalates issues to management and other teams as needed.

  • Participates in comprehensive UAT test plans and execution, and maintains comprehensive documentation of all tests conducted including dates, detailed description of tests, and sample data sets utilized in testing to ensure traceability and compliance. Deliver status reports to other teams and management. 

  • Develops internal documentation for new processes, regularly reviews and updates existing documentation/check lists for processes performed to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with current operational practices.

  • Facilitates the cross training sessions of junior team members to support procedural accuracy and strengthen team resilience through effective knowledge sharing and best business practices to build sufficient coverage during absences and peak periods. 

  • Collaborates in cross functional teams to work on process improvement and project development leveraging understanding of Nielsen services and product cycle to drive strategic outcomes. 

Qualifications

  • BA or BS Degree in Marketing, Market Research or related field

  • 4+ years of Media Research experience preferred

  • Familiarity with US geography, retail industry and media landscape

  • Knowledge of survey and mailing operations

  • Advanced project management and strategic initiative rollout expertise

  • Demonstrated exceptional delivery focus to maintain BAU and drive strategic operational evolution.

  • Expertise in managing vendor relationships

  • Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite 

  • Knowledge of Market Research and Marketing a plus

  • Knowledge of VBA, Tableau, SAS, etc. a strong plus 

  • Strong English language oral and written communication skills

  • Fluent in oral and written Spanish a plus

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail  

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Strong capacity for logical analysis and strategic thinking
