Job Description
We are hiring a Sr. Marketing Program manager to serve as the engine of our day-to-day operations, driving the execution of our core growth programs and tactical marketing initiatives. This is a high-impact individual contributor role at the center of how Nielsen's marketing organization plans, executes, and delivers on its most important content-driven campaigns while also supporting the operational rhythm of the broader marketing organization. You will bring structure and rigor to fast-moving workstreams, ensuring our business-as-usual marketing efforts are delivered with precision. You will coordinate closely with cross-functional partners—including creatives, content writers, and events managers—to move deliverables through the pipeline with high velocity.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary program manager for core growth programs, owning project delivery from kickoff through post-mortem.
- Independently manage project plans, schedules, and asset trackers, ensuring functional teams are aligned on timelines and dependencies.
- Apply standardized marketing frameworks and processes to core growth programs and support their adoption across marketing teams to improve organizational efficiency.
- Build and maintain integrated project plans and act as the connective tissue to ensure dependencies are visible across teams.
- Status Reporting: Facilitate regular program syncs to surface blockers and synthesize status updates into clear reports for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Manage a single source-of-truth for campaign documentation, including briefs, trackers, and KPI dashboards, in a centralized location.
- Foster strong collaboration across functional teams to translate marketing goals into actionable workstreams.
- Drive the resolution of complex operational problems, identifying issues, such as capacity constraints or resource gaps, in a timely manner.
- Support the continuous improvement of operational workflows, such as intake and approval workflows, leveraging feedback to refine operational systems for scalability.
- Champion the consistent use of project management tools to ensure all campaign tasks and milestones are logged and visible.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure project success, feeding lessons learned back into future campaign playbooks.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in Marketing Program Management or Marketing Operations, or Technical Program Management, with a proven track record of managing independent work products and delivering integrated campaigns.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant professional certifications, particularly in Human Centered Design, are preferred.
- Native or professional-level English proficiency is mandatory, as this role supports a global team and requires extensive documentation in English.
- Highly skilled in project management and enterprise tools, such as Jira, Smartsheet, Google Suite, Looker Studio, Salesforce, GA4 or similar
- Advanced problem solver who can take a new perspective on complex operational issues and implement solutions using best practices.
- Operates with autonomy as a proactive self-starter, identifying risks and issues proactively and initiating campaign planning with minimal supervision.
- Skilled collaborator who can drive alignment among diverse cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to synthesize program data into clear status updates and coordinate effectively across marketing teams
- Full competency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet) and a strong understanding of marketing frameworks and the creative production lifecycle.
