Job Description

As a Senior Controllership Associate – Billing & Collection, you will be taking care of revenue integrity and financial compliance for our Polish operations. You will act as a critical bridge between our global financial strategy and the specific regulatory landscape of the Polish market, cooperating with our Revenue Controllership team. In this position, you will own the end-to-end billing lifecycle, solve high-stakes discrepancies, and serve as a subject matter expert in a fast-paced, international environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Billing & Revenue Recognition 

● Invoice Generation: Create and distribute accurate monthly/periodic invoices for Polish clients, ensuring compliance with KSeF (National e-Invoicing System) and local VAT requirements. 

Contract Review: Analyze contracts to ensure billing parameters (rates, tiers, and timelines) are correctly reflected in the ERP system. 

Revenue Accuracy: Assist in monthly revenue recognition activities by reconciling billed amounts against service delivery data. 

Dispute Management: Identify and resolve billing discrepancies by collaborating with Sales and Revenue recognition teams. 

2. Collection & Accounts Receivable (AR) 

● Proactive Outreach: Manage a portfolio of accounts to ensure timely payments via phone, email, and localized dunning letters. 

Negotiation: Establish payment plans for overdue accounts while maintaining a positive, professional relationship with the client. 

Maintenance: Monitor the portfolio and make sure the payments are flowing according to payment terms and escalate to the appropriate teams in case of non payment

Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and samples for internal and external financial audits. 

Qualifications

Technical Requirements & Qualifications:

● ERP Mastery: Advanced proficiency in SAP (FI/CO or SD modules) is preferred. ● CRM & Productivity: 

○ Salesforce: Experience managing contract terms and customer lifecycles. ○ MS Office Suite: Good Excel skills (Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis). 

○ Google Suite: Fluency in Google Sheets 

○ Language Proficiency: Professional-level fluency in Polish and English (C1/C2 level) is essential for both local compliance and global reporting.

Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Polish tax landscape and the mandatory transition to digital e-invoicing.

Please note that working 4 days from the office is required during the initial trial / probation period. Hybrid work is permitted after successful completion of the probation period. 

 

Compensation:

The annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from PLN 90700 to PLN 136100 gross.
A reasonable estimated salary range for a new employee has been provided. It would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
