Job Description

Nielsen’s Global Procurement team manages Nielsen’s supplier relationships, with the goal of enhancing Nielsen’s profitability and performance while managing risk.  This is a newly created role in India reporting to Nielsen’s Chief Procurement Officer, with a dotted line to Nielsen’s GCC Procurement Director in India.  This role will support our Global Procurement and stakeholders as we scale our procurement function, and will have significant support and visibility at the executive leadership level. As an integral member of the Global Procurement team, you will manage our procurement metrics, data analytics, policy & process improvement, risk management, and compliance & controls. We require an experienced  professional with a strong foundation in procurement, data analytics, or finance-related fields who can unlock value for Nielsen by being part of a dynamic team. This role requires someone highly collaborative and data driven to manage processes at scale with strong influencing and interpersonal skills to help achieve Nielsen’s objectives. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Creating and maintaining a variety of procurement reports and dashboards.
  • Participating in cross-functional meetings to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
  • Collaborating with finance teams to ensure procurement activities align with budgetary constraints and ensure cost savings & avoidance figures are captured.
  • Using procurement software and tools to streamline processes and enhance data analysis.
  • Helping to write and update Procurement policies and procedures that are easy to understand and follow, leading to better compliance and improved organizational efficiency.
  • Track compliance to Procurement policies.
  • Tracking Procurement KPIs on an ongoing basis to share with senior leadership.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives for the Global Procurement organization as necessary.
  • Managing Procurement Platform Analyst to deliver on the goals & objectives for the team.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 7-8 years of experience with data analytics and harnessing enterprise data to drive incremental value.
  • A desire to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to multi-task is critical for success in this role. Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously with potentially conflicting tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Ariba, Power BI, Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience working with large scale Purchase to Pay and eSourcing software tools.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience or willingness to learn new technologies and software that can drive efficiencies
