PRODUCT & PERFORMANCE MARKETING TEAM

The Paid Media Team sits within the Product & Performance Marketing group at Nielsen. We leverage the power of paid media to achieve performance marketing goals and business outcomes. We partner closely with Product and Commercial Marketing to develop media plans tailored to specific segments, regions and product business goals.
The Sr.Marketing Campaign Manager II will partner closely with our Product, Creative and Measurement teams in order to plan, activate and optimize paid media campaigns across business units and channels. They will also play a key role in partnering with our advertising agency - delivering media briefings, ensuring strategic recommendations aligned with business goals, flawless campaign activation, continuous optimization and campaign reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Channels Expertise: This role will require a vast knowledge of and experience with a variety of paid media channels, including, but not limited to video, display, paid search, paid social, programmatic and native advertising.
Campaign Strategy: Lead end to end paid media campaign planning process across all lines of business for Nielsen and Gracenote.
Partner with our product marketing team to understand campaign objectives and ensure media brief contains all pertinent information required for a successful campaign briefing with the agency
Lead campaign briefings with the agency, setting campaign objectives and expectations as well as aligning on delivery timelines
Review media recommendations from the agency, checking for strategic alignment, delivery against KPIs and historical performance benchmarks
Ability and confidence to deliver campaign recommendations to key stakeholders and provide answers and rationale in regards to all paid media questions.
This person is a subject matter expert and a resource for the broader marketing team
Partner closely with the agency to review campaign performance and optimization recommendations on an ongoing basis
Hold regular performance check ins with internal stakeholders
campaign execution, optimization and reporting
Overarching Strategy: This role will have purview into multiple lines of business across Nielsen and will be involved in how our paid campaigns/executions work together across our company goals
This person should have experience in managing complex businesses with multiple goals/priorities across various lines of business
Ability to prioritize budgets across various products, campaigns and global markets based on overall impact on the business portfolio
Strong ability to manage multiple projects and time against each
Billing Management: The person in this role will be responsible for managing their campaign budgets from end to end.
This includes the allocation of funding to various initiatives throughout the year and approval on a campaign and vendor level
This role will partner with the agency to ensure that monthly billing reflects the agreed upon amounts and stays within contracted rates
This role will partner with the internal Nielsen finance team to ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner and that necessary accruals are accounted for each month
Media Agency Management: Manage media agency relationship across Nielsen
Work to develop and adhere to processes for standard lead times for campaign development, execution and reporting
Manage agency workload and prioritize projects where needed
Ensure Nielsen is tapping into agency partners for all contracted resources and that we are using the full scope of work possible to support the Performance Marketing Team needs
Qualifications
Minimum of 5-8 years experience in Marketing, Advertising or related business function.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
Strategic and technical knowledge of digital paid advertising channels including paid search, paid social, programmatic and direct media buying, video and native
Fundamental understanding of traditional paid media advertising channels such as TV, radio, connected TV, streaming audio/video, radio, print and OOH
Subject matter expertise in using paid advertising channels and tactics to achieve campaign performance objectives.
Experience with a variety of leading media platforms
A proactive, goal oriented team player able to work independently and collectively in a fast paced environment
Strong relationship development skills capable of developing, maintaining and growing internal and external strategic relationships across partners and functions
Data driven, analytical, with excellent attention to detail
Strong project management and communication skills
Energetic, passionate, with an appetite to grow
DESIRED SKILLS
Experience using Nielsen products preferred, but not required
B2B marketing experience
Agency experience is preferred
Brand/client side experience or experience managing an agency
