Job Description

We are seeking motivated college students to participate in our 6th consecutive Summer Internship Program! Get the real-world experience needed to prepare you for life after college. As an Intern, you will have the benefit of working alongside industry professionals to gain hands-on knowledge within your given field of study. Take advantage of our structured program that includes a group project, lunch and learn seminars with senior leadership and a meaningful workload. You will not be making coffee or filing papers- our Interns help us get the job done and get paid to do so. Upon completion of the program, you will have tangible and qualitative experience to add to your resume.

In addition to meaningful work, The Nature’s Bounty Co. Internship Program also includes valuable face time with senior leadership, networking events, manufacturing tours, and community service events. Program Details:

Begins the first week of June and runs for ten weeks.
Work schedule is standard business hours of 9am-5pm.
Most of our positions are located in Long Island, NY. Additional positions are located throughout the country.

The OpEx Intern function will support the Warehousing & Distribution network at our Hazleton, Pennsylvania location.

This Intern will support our OpEx team with the following:
•    Continuously improve Warehousing & Distribution (W&D) operations and other supply chain segments.
•    Provide project execution of process improvement via hands-on application of standard engineering methods and practices
•    Develop and execute operational reporting systems
•    Support the deployment of the High Performance System (HPS)

•    Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the Site or Region.
•    Analyze reports and identify resulting action plans to remediate missed targets or to sustain target levels.
•    Develop enhancements to existing reporting tools and identify/deploy new reporting tools.
•    Apply established process improvement tools to solve problems and enhance warehousing and distribution operations.  These techniques include but are not limited to:
o    Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
o    Workplace organization (5S)
o    Loss Analysis
o    Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
o    Line balancing
o    Kaizen, and
o    Statistical Process Control (SPC)

•    Review productivity rate targets and apply analytical tools to determine whether to maintain or change current targets
•    Support preparation and analysis of a region wide End-to-End value stream map.
•    Understand locations of process waste, capacity constraints, and impediments to timely flow of materials and finished goods.
•    Develop solutions to support critical KPI’s such as throughput and fill rates.
•    Coach and support HPS teams to achieve target maturity levels and prepare to advance along the HPS journey.
•    Prepare justification for productivity or capacity enhancing capital projects.
•    Support network-wide initiatives and task teams to improve productivity targets, tracking capabilities,




  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior
  • Minimum major GPA of 3.5
  • Major within one of the following fields:
    • Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain or related
