The Ideal Candidate: 

Motion is looking for a creative and well-organized social media-minded individual who has a growing understanding of social media as a marketing service, interest in crafting content and familiarity with social platform utility. The ideal candidate will also have proven success in developing and/or taking part in social media campaigns/activations for a variety of B2B/B2C clients through a previous internship or entry-level position at an agency or within a brand team.   

Prior experience supporting social and/or content campaigns can include social content creation, copywriting, community management and social listening, measurement/reporting techniques and channel best practices. This new team member will possess skills to work alongside creative resources in-house to bring ideas to life. Ideally, this candidate wants to do it all from start to finish, including account management and growth. 

Job Description

Candidate Must Live In Chicago. This position is on site and not remote. 

REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Support day-to-day management of client relationship needs and deliverables. Assist in handling day-to-day client contact in a proactive, knowledgeable and responsive way. Anticipate and respond to client needs as they pertain to business, projects and process. 

  • Support client programs by managing the creation of timely and engaging content that is optimized for each social platform and intended audience. 

  • Must be a multi-tasker with excellent attention-to-detail and have experience managing all aspects of social media projects, from overall program management, curating and creating content, monitoring and channel analytics across multiple social media platforms. 

  • Possess a drive to learn presenting program outlines, platform strategies, project ideas and creative samples to clients in an effective and personable manner. 

  • Effectively monitor cross-channel brand health and brand reputation via social conversations and agency tools (alongside a wider team of community management personnel.) 

  • Create quarterly, monthly, weekly reporting of project status/results; work with account leads to analyze data and provide sound insights on plan and ideas for change moving forward if necessary. 

  • Become thoroughly educated on relevant client industries, applicable influencers in each industry, product information, competitive landscape and overall trendspotting for proactive/reactive timely social activations. 

  • Manage and track paid social promotional campaigns (alongside other digital team members) across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc. 

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS 

  • Previous knowledge of social media and analytics software (Sprout Social, Databox, Google Analytics, Facebook/Twitter Insights, etc.) would be welcome, but not required. 

  • Must have impeccable spelling and grammar. 

  • Exceptional time management skills including the ability to handle multiple clients with changing priorities. 

  • Influencer campaign experience is a plus. 

  • Ongoing resourcefulness involving problem solving and making sound decisions in a fast-paced agency environment. 

 

 

Qualifications

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Must have at least 1-2 years of experience in day-to-day social channel management; agency experience strongly recommended and experience using social publishing, reporting and listening tools is strongly recommended but not required. 

  • Experience within a team environment, must be a critical thinker and possess proven problem-solving skills. 

  • Overall social knowledge of platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, and more. 

  • Channel copywriting and calendar management experience.
