Job Description

To research and develop the principles of voluntary systems of human interaction and produce messaging that will instill those principles in the minds of our audience.

We are looking for a self-managed, organized, and intellectually curious individual with a strong commitment to libertarian philosophy and values.  In collaboration with Foundation colleagues, the Research Colleague will help develop both theoretical and actionable documents for the purpose of working toward solutions to complex social issues through non-coercive social and political processes.

Responsibilities and Activities

Collect and condense relevant, peer-reviewed research on myriad topics. Responsible for validating information for relevance, clarity, continuity, and applicability of project objectives. 

Research will include identifying, reviewing and sourcing existing, relevant academic literature that includes economics, political science, philosophy, psychology, or law, as well as literature by libertarian theorists and practitioners. Research will cover a breadth of social issues in the U.S. and provide an objective representation of the current legal, economic, and social situation of each issue. We are open to considering both full time and part time arrangements. 


    Required Knowledge, Skills, & Attributes

    • Research methods and statistical analysis
    • Bibliographic referencing and citation formats
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. economics, political science, philosophy) or equivalent capability
    • Word processing, Excel, and basic data analysis proficiency
    • Demonstrate a solid understanding of libertarian philosophy and fundamental economic theory
