Job Description
1. Implement and monitor the school's curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the vision and requirements of Little Ashford.
2. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teaching staff, providing feedback and fostering an environment of continuous professional development.
3. Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for the learners.
4. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, ensuring transparency and collaboration in children’s education.
5. Oversee daily operations of the school, ensuring adherence to organisational and regulatory policies and procedures.
6. Collaborate with the Principal to establish and work towards strategic goals for the school.
7. Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the quality of education and overall learner experience.
8. Assist the Principal in the effective use of all resources within the school.
9. In support of the Principal, liaise with the wider community, building relationships and partnerships that support the school's mission and objectives.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
1. Learner Learning Outcomes: Ensure learners achieve learning outcomes in line with the curriculum and national standards.
2. Staff Development and Retention: Implement effective professional development initiatives for staff, maintain a positive work environment and measure staff turnover.
3. Parental Engagement: Measure satisfaction levels of parents and caregivers through regular surveys and feedback mechanisms.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all relevant education regulations, policies, and procedures, with no major compliance issues.
5. Resource Management: Manage budget allocated by Principal effectively, with regular reporting using set templates. Ensure no significant deviations from the allocated budget.
6. Community Engagement: Foster relationships and partnerships within the local community to support the school's mission and objectives.
7. Curriculum Implementation: Ensure the curriculum is engaging, up-to-date and reflects best practice in early childhood education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of teaching experience, with at least two years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Comprehensive understanding of early childhood education principles, practices, and curriculum development.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to motivate, guide, and develop teaching staff.
- Knowledge of educational regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrated organisational, financial management, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and a positive learning environment.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment in early childhood education.
- Proficient in using education-related technology and software.
