Staff Research Scientist V: A Concentrative Materials Researcher

  • Full-time

Company Description

Hexagon Lavish® is a scientific R&D/high-tech startup based in Atlanta, Georgia. It was founded by Desmond J. Watson in 2010. The company initially was focused in machine learning techniques but now has evolved into a small company that's devoted to utilizing "unorthodox" research methodologies in theoretical development and non-compromised use of mathematics and science.

As of right now, Desmond J. Watson, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hexagon Lavish®, is putting together a small team of researchers, mathematicians, engineers and programmers for this startup. If you're interested in applying your skills in efforts of turning ideas into a grand journey, submit your CV/résumé today.

Job Description

Hexagon Lavish® is a scientific R&D/high-tech startup based in Atlanta, Georgia that has an opening full-time/permanent position for an experienced SRS V: Materials Researcher who will direct an engaging focus in conducting research in the application of PIR Beta implementation techniques. The SRS V: Materials Researcher will play as the medium between those on the PIR Beta team and the PIR Omega team.

The SRS V: Materials Researcher will also need to hone skills in thermoelectric/heat diffusion and using their results in the design, development, testing and deployment of the resultant software infrastructure known as C.S.N. (Consequential Systems Neutralization), however, they will also engage in research determining the geometrics of certain materials such as the "shape of a plate" for the PIR: Premier Information Retrieval®.

The C.S.N. system will provide scalable and computable resources to scientists at Hexagon Lavish® and around the world. This is an opportunity to work on a software platform with significant impact on general physics research and to work in a semi-fast paced entrepreneurial environment.

This position will also focus on the development of C.S.N.’s client-side integration with data analysis tools like Matlab, Labview and R; having a general understanding of core data structures as they pertain to that of a matrix; mathematical/scientific programming; bottleneck and content analysis; Taylor’s approximation and dimensional Fourier law; and the ability to work with standard heat equations.

The candidate will be expected to be able to work both independently and along with a small, interdisciplinary team supporting scientific end users that utilize the C.S.N. software platform.

The SRS V: Materials Researcher will report weekly to the Chief Science Officer. The SRS V: Materials Researcher will also be tasked with assisting the Senior Materials Scientist with applying for external funding (i.e., research grants).
