Role Overview

As the Head Editor, you will lead a team of copywriters to create high-quality, SEO-optimized content for affiliate marketing purposes. Your role combines editorial expertise, team management, and strategic thinking to drive content performance and achieve business objectives.

Key responsibilities include managing the content creation process, developing content strategies, overseeing SEO implementation, and integrating AI-generated content with human expertise. You'll also be responsible for team development, performance monitoring, and cross-departmental collaboration.

This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of SEO and content marketing, and the ability to adapt to emerging technologies and industry trends. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in editorial management and a passion for creating impactful digital content.

Job Description

  1. Lead and manage a team of 3 copywriters, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship.

  2. Develop and maintain content strategy aligned with the company's affiliate marketing goals.

  3. Oversee the content creation process, ensuring high-quality outputs that meet SEO requirements.

  4. Collaborate with the team to develop article structures and subheadings based on competitive analysis.

  5. Review and edit all content produced by the team, ensuring adherence to quality standards, brand voice, and SEO best practices.

  6. Manage the integration of AI-generated content (Chat-GPT 4, Gemini, Claude AI etc.,) with human expertise, establishing guidelines for its use.

  7. Monitor content performance using Google Search Console and other SEO tools, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

  8. Ensure proper implementation of SEO strategies, including keyword optimization and meta tag creation.

  9. Stay updated on industry trends, SEO best practices, and Google algorithm updates.

  10. Coordinate with other departments to align content strategy with overall business objectives.

  11. Provide regular performance reports and updates to management.

  12. Conduct training sessions to improve team skills in writing, SEO, and AI collaboration.

Qualifications

  1. Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field (not requirement, but a plus)

    • Advanced degree or relevant certifications in digital marketing or SEO would be a plus

  2. Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in content creation and editing, preferably in digital marketing or affiliate marketing

    • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role

    • Demonstrated experience with SEO strategies and tools, including Google Search Console

  3. Skills:

    • Exceptional English language skills, including grammar, punctuation, and style

    • Strong editorial and proofreading skills

    • Proficiency in SEO best practices and content optimization

    • Experience with AI Generative tools, such as Chat GPT, Gemini, Claude ai etc.

    • Excellent project management and team leadership abilities

    • Strong analytical skills for performance tracking and reporting

    • Familiarity with content management systems and digital marketing tools

    • Strong Google Spreadsheet skills.

  4. Knowledge:

    • Deep understanding of SEO principles and current trends

    • Knowledge of affiliate marketing strategies (betting industry knowledge a plus)

    • Familiarity with various writing styles and formats for web content

    • Basic knowledge of HTML

Additional Information

Salary: $500 monthly
