Job Description

As the Technical Lead at Amazin Trips, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital travel agency platform. You will lead a remote team consisting of Backend and Frontend developers, Mobile App developer and UI/UX designer working closely to ensure the successful development, implementation, and maintenance of our platform. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of technical and leadership tasks to achieve our mission of providing travelers with comprehensive, end-to-end support for their travel needs.

1. Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a remote team of developers, ensuring efficient collaboration and high-quality work.
  • Provide technical guidance, support, and assistance to team members when needed.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive team culture, fostering open communication and collaboration.

2. Technical Expertise:

  • Leverage your extensive technical knowledge and experience to guide the development team in making strategic and sound technical decisions.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to define project requirements, architecture, and technical design.
  • Continuously stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

3. Project Management:

  • Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate with the team members to identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and proactively address them.
  • Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication.

The day-to-day tasks include:

  • Defining the technical vision and architecture of the project.
  • Ensuring that it aligns with the business requirements and best practices.
  • Planning and estimating the tasks, resources, and timelines for the project and communicating them to the stakeholders and the team.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with other teams, such as product management, design, quality assurance, and operations.
  • Ensuring smooth integration and delivery of the project.
  • Mentoring, coaching, and reviewing the work of the engineers.
  • Providing feedback and guidance to help them grow their skills and improve their performance.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues or challenges that arise during the project.
  • Ensuring that the software meets the quality standards and expectations.
  • Researching and evaluating new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
  • Enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of the software development process.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience (3-5 years) in a technical leadership role, preferably in a remote team setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Proficient in software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Extensive experience in web or software development, including knowledge of programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Additional Information

📅 Contract Details:

Salary: NGN930,000 (Total Gross pay for the duration of the project) Benefits include monthly data allowance.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Performance and Compensation:

  • Deliverables: All project deliverables are expected to be completed over the 6-month period or earlier, based on the agreed-upon project timeline.
  • Payment: Payment will be prorated and paid monthly upon the satisfactory delivery of all tasks assigned in each month. Our commitment to timely compensation reflects our respect for your dedication and hard work.
  • Ongoing Support: We believe in collaboration and teamwork. As a member of our technical team, you will be expected to remain accessible and actively engaged for the entire period of the project.
