Job Description

Holy Culture Radio (recently expanded to SiriusXM Channel 154), a brand of The Corelink Solution, is seeking a highly motivated digital content manager to maintain and grow its website properties.  This is a great opportunity for someone who loves faith-based media, creating high-quality engaging content and using it to inform and inspire people.

 

Summary

The Digital Content Manager will be responsible for creating and posting content for HolyCulture.net, including articles, live streams, images, videos, galleries, and other web-related projects.  We're seeking a journalist who thinks reader-first and understands how to use formats and tools to best tell stories for today's digital reader.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage all content creation activities for the website, updating all sections of the website including the homepage and all other categories.
  • Creation and management of a content marketing calendar to ensure regular content on the website throughout the year.
  • Write entertaining and informative search engine optimized copy.
  • Develop and optimize target keywords and base articles around them..

Education / Requirements

  • Knowledge and passion for the Hip-hop culture, history, and current affairs.
  • Must be scrappy, proactive, creative, and agile.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, be proactive, and take the initiative.
  • Interest in daily news writing for a newspaper or digital media.
  • Solid news judgment and grasp of journalism best practices.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Excellent writing skills, spelling, and grammar.
  • Ability to work well with others under strict deadlines.
  • Holds ethical journalism standards.
  • Works as a team player
