Holy Culture is the Christian media brand of The Corelink Solution, a not-for-profit organization focused on community revitalization through learning and cultural enrichment.   Holy Culture Radio operates digitally online and through mobile apps.  We will be expanding into Satellite radio.

This role will be responsible for both backend and frontend development to further grow and develop www.holyculture.net.

These websites are single installs of WordPress on PHP 7.4 and use a base tech stack of Beaver Builder, Beaver Themer, GeoDirectory, PODs, and Gravity Forms. The right candidate will use the existing tech stack to expand the website.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and build the website’s frontend using a mobile-first design approach.
• Implement new functionality.  We will discuss the critical projects during the interview.
• Modify the website architecture as requested using current Tech Stack
• Manage backend such as adding new CPTs using GeoDirectory’s infrastructure
• Conduct website performance tests
• Optimize website for speed, including optimization of images
• Test website on all major browsers, monitor sizes, and devices
• Troubleshoot content issues
• Conduct WordPress training with the team
• Monitor the performance of the live website
• Liaise with our web agency partner as needed and agree to their Dev Guidelines
• Liaise with our phone app partner as needed

Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities​​​​​​

• Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, and HTML5
• Experience working with a Staging Server
• Experience working with Managed WordPress Hosting Providers such as WP Engine
• Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
• Experience using Page Builders (Beaver Builder expert preferred)
• Right eye and understanding of website architecture and aesthetics
• Strong content management skills
• Strong design skills
• Ability to project manage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills using the English language

Hours: Part-time (expected 20 hours a week or more)

Location: Work from home and in the office from time to time in Wilmington, DE

COMPENSATION
Commensurate with experience.
