The Cocoon is hiring a Sexual Violence Advocate. The Sexual Violence Advocate has a focus on working with survivors who have been victimized by sexual violence, including sexual assault, sex trafficking, sexual harassment and adults sexually abused as children. This includes providing advocacy, safety planning and case management from an empowerment model for sexual violence survivors in shelter and in community-based settings. 

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or 2 years related experience and an ability to work from an empowerment model is required as well as advocacy and communication skills and knowledge and experience serving victims of sexual violence.  Bilingual preferred. This staff position rotates being on-call during the business hours (Mon-Fri. 8 am to 4 pm) and provides assistance/coverage to other staff as needed. After-hours and weekend on-call are scheduled as the agency’s needs arise. Work hours are flexible in order to accommodate necessary evening or weekend hours.
