Job Description

The Class is seeking an organized, proactive, and hospitality-minded Studio Support Lead to help oversee daily studio operations, support our Studio Support teams, and ensure an exceptional experience for our in-person students, Teachers and streaming community.

Working closely with the Studio Manager, the Studio Support Lead will serve as a reliable point of contact for the team, helping maintain operational standards, coordinate daily responsibilities, and ensure the studio runs smoothly.

This is a hands-on position that combines regular Studio Support shifts with dedicated operational responsibilities perfect for the person who is comfortable multi-tasking. The Studio Support Lead will work alongside the team while taking ownership of recurring tasks, studio organization, and administrative follow-through.

The ideal candidate is a confident, hospitality-minded people-person who leads by example, takes initiative, anticipates needs, and finds satisfaction in the details that make a studio feel welcoming, organized, and thoughtfully maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Studio Operations & Team Leadership

  • Provide on-site management during assigned shifts, serving as a point of contact for Studio Support staff when the Studio Manager is off-site.

  • Guide the Studio Support team, delegate daily tasks, and ensure opening, closing, cleaning, and operational checklists are completed consistently.

  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, aesthetic, and overall atmosphere of the studio, including the fourth-floor storage areas and staff lounge.

  • Monitor studio supplies, equipment, and maintenance needs, ensuring items are properly stocked, organized, and accessible.

  • Assist with hiring, onboarding and hands-on training for new Studio Support team members, reinforcing studio standards and procedures.

  • Identify and address routine operational issues, communicating concerns and outstanding needs to the Studio Manager.

  • Assist with coordinating shift coverage when requested, while the Studio Manager retains ownership of staff scheduling.

Studio Administration & Communication

  • Manage studio communications, including the Tribeca inbox, student inquiries, mail and packages, and signage, and escalate to the Studio Manager as needed.

  • Keep studio operations organized and on track: records, checklists, lost-and-found, maintenance and supply requests, and regular updates to the Studio Manager.

Hospitality, Student & Teacher Experience

  • Greet, check in, and welcome students and guests, delivering the thoughtful and elevated hospitality experience that defines The Class.

  • Support teachers with Class preparation, breakdown, props, and student inquiries.

  • Serve as a consistent and reliable point of contact for teachers, anticipating their needs, maintaining clear communication, and helping create a supportive, organized studio environment that allows them to focus on delivering the best possible Class experience.

  • Prepare and maintain the studio space, including mats, floors, mirrors, bathrooms, locker areas, and front desk.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of The Class method, schedule, memberships, packages, and retail offerings.

  • Lead by example in creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for students, teachers, and team members.

Retail, Production & Events Support

  • Support retail operations, including sales, merchandising, inventory, and ship-from-studio fulfillment.

  • Handle studio production and event support: equipment care, setup and breakdown, and on-site coordination for workshops, private Classes, and community activations.

Schedule & Availability Requirements

  • This is a part-time, in-person position requiring a consistent weekly schedule across five days, including one required weekend shift.

  • This is an in-studio position requiring up to 30 hours per week, with responsibilities spanning daily studio operations, teacher and student support, and administrative duties.

  • The distribution of Studio Support and administrative hours may vary based on operational needs and will be determined by the Studio Manager.

  • Occasional flexibility to support workshops, special events, or schedule adjustments will be required with advance notice.

Qualifications

  • Passionate about wellness and The Class methodology.
  • Outgoing, friendly, approachable, and naturally hospitality-minded.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to guide and support a team while working collaboratively alongside others.

  • Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking initiative.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively across both student-facing and administrative responsibilities.

  • Prior customer service, hospitality, or sales experience required.

  • Previous team lead or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Experience in retail operations and driving sales is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Mindbody, Homebase, Shopify, or similar systems preferred.

  • Proficiency with computers and basic administrative software.
