Job Description

The Building People is seeking an Acquisition and Procurement Specialist with federal experience in procurement to support the Acquisitions Division at the United States Department of Energy (DOE) in Golden, CO. 

Responsibilities for the Acquisition and Procurement Specialist include:

  • Supporting the Acquisitions Division in the preparation and drafting of pre-award documents including, but not limited to, the following: acquisition planning documents, small business set-aside determinations, determinations and findings, requests for information, draft solicitations, and GSA E-Buy;
  • Assisting with preparation of government negotiation documentation, cost and price analysis memoranda, source selection documentation, price negotiation memoranda, contract/order/agreements, general correspondence, and related documentation;
  • Preparing documents in the appropriate network drive and upload to the STRIPES system;
  • Tracking project actions and generating routine reports using MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word; and
  • Conducting reviews/analysis of systems, processes and data.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements for Skills, Experience, Education and Credentials include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Professional attitude, teaming skills, and strong communication skills (written and oral) required
  • Excellent attention to detail, pays attention to details and organizational abilities required 
  • Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) required
  • Ability to pass a background check for building access

Knowledge of one or more procurement related systems is preferred: 

  • DOE Strategic Integrated Procurement Enterprise System (STRIPES); 
  • Federal Procurement Data System Next Generation (FPDS-NG); 
  • Federal Assistance Awards Data System (FAADS); 
  • FedConnect; 
  • Grants.Gov; 
  • Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS); 
  • Electronic Sub Contractor Reporting System (eSRS); 
  • Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act Subaward Reporting System (FFATSRS);
  • System for Award Management (SAM); or Financial Accounting Support Tool (FAST).
