Job Description

The Aparecio Foundation ("TAF") ambassadors are volunteers committed to promoting TAF's vision and representing the organization. Each ambassador’s efforts are crucial to the success of TAF's movement to build a local community of invested stakeholders, donors and volunteers. Ambassadors take on an important role representing the organization and advocating on behalf of TAF at conferences, schools, other events, online and through other special assignments. We seek to maximize the usefulness of any ambassador’s unique skill set. As an Aparecio Foundation Ambassador, you will grow your leadership skills while growing your personal network and TAF’s ecosystem. Your support as an ambassador helps TAF maximize our reach and increase awareness.

Qualifications

Ambassadors are asked to make a one-year commitment to the organization. During this year the work is likely to be sporadic. Ambassadors may have several obligations over a short period and at other times there may be lulls without much to do. How much work an ambassador puts into the program will depend on how proactive he/she is in seeking opportunities to promote TAF. As part of the year-long commitment to be an ambassador, we expect ambassadors to do one of the following, or a combination thereof:

• Get the word out via e-mail, social media and word-of-mouth to share the news about TAF and our initiatives with their personal and professional networks

• Organize meetups in their local community for like-minded people to get together and learn about student programs and courses, serve as the local expert on all things TAF

• Collect feedback and help us understand what’s working and what’s not, what people in their community like and dislike about our program

• Represent TAF at events and/or host educational/networking events four times a year

• Post something online/write letters to editors of papers/magazines twice monthly
