Job Description
Our client is seeking a Java/J2EE developer with MongoDB experience. Responsibilities include:
- Design and planning of architecture to support goals of the project
- Develop large scale complex applications that are deployed to a distributed architecture
- Assist development teams in activities such as load testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Design highly scalable databases and develop applications against a relational database required
- Utilizes expert knowledge of J2EE and Java development to troubleshoot technical issues (error messages, software bugs, performance )
- Proactively communicates with the development, QA teams and management to anticipate configuration management issues/process and project issues
- Proactively seeks opportunities to implement improvements to internal team processes
- Ensures that all best practices and enterprise standards are followed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (8 years of additional relevant technical management experience may be substituted for education)
- 5+ years experience analyzing, designing and implementing integration solutions using J2EE technologies or related technologies
- 8-10 years experience with multiple programming technologies, including Java, XML/XSLT/WSDL, Spring/Hibernate, Web Services
- Strong skills designing highly scalable databases and developing applications against a relational database required.
- Hands-on experience developing message-oriented integration solutions with Java
- Key technical experience in areas such as J2EE, XML, Web Services and SOA
- Experience with a wide variety of testing tools and techniques, ex. JUnit, Cucumber
- Experience working with NoSQL database stores such as MongoDB is strongly desired
- Thorough understanding of Scrum/Agile
- Experience working in a fast paced, agile environment
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be a proven team player
