Job Description

About the role

The main focus for the Project Delivery Team Leads is to manage a team of services project managers of various levels of seniority, focused on the planning, initiation, and management of a variety of projects, and supporting managed services clients and engagements. You will provide guidance and support to direct reports and teams with regards to project management and service delivery activities. 

The role will proactively resolve project management issues in relation to cost, scope, timelines, incident management and quality where necessary. You will maintain and nurture relationships with existing customers to retain and increase their satisfaction with the Adaptavist Managed Services and Professional Services portfolio of offerings.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage, lead and mentor a team of service project managers.

  • Communicate company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to the team.

  • Motivate the team members and assess performance through the use of regular 1:1s, competency reviews and personal and team objectives.

  • Provide help to management, including hiring and training, and keep senior management updated on team performance and organisational challenges.

  • Develop and execute the services strategy, policies and standards, aligning with overall business objectives, customer requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand customer needs and expectations, ensuring that services are delivered in a manner that consistently meets or exceeds these expectations.

  • Manage large (budget or scope), highly complex (functionality, specs, stakeholders), diverse or strategic projects that impact the organisation, or a client as a whole.

  • Deliver reports to Services Senior Management as required regarding status of portfolio and budgets. 

  • To act as the senior escalation point for client support issues.

  • Track invoicing status of projects.

  • Plan, allocate, and mobilise resources (human, physical, information and financial resources) to achieve organisational goals and ensure the efficient and appropriate use of resources.

  • Identify resourcing needs to effectively support current initiatives, services and offerings.

  • Communicate expectations and objectives of resource usage, providing ongoing feedback, and addressing shortcomings.

Qualifications

  • German proficient is required

  • Experience managing a team or mentoring service delivery / project manager professionals

  • Skilled in building rapport, client trust, and developing long-term relationships

  • Ability to work seamlessly in a team-oriented environment as well as individually

  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks independently and efficiently

  • Proactive, persuasive, energetic personality

  • Intelligent, with a focus on finishing tasks

  • Apply formal project management principles and practices during the planning, implementation, monitoring and completion of the project. 

  • Ensure effective management of scope, resources, time, cost, quality, risk and

  • Ability to plan, allocate, and mobilise resources.

  • Detail oriented and clear communicator with superior organization skills

  • Strong communication skills and confident with working with stakeholders at all levels 

  • Knowledgeable in a wide variety of ecosystems including Atlassian, Gitlab and monday.com

  • Knowledge and or experience of various IT digital transformation themes: Cloud, ITIL, Agile, DevOps, Work Management

  • Experience of incident, problem and change management

  • Experience of contributing to Client-facing Service Reviews and other workshop activities

  • A general understanding of the pre-sales process in a services context, working with the business development team on proposals and pitches for business

  • Solid understanding of service contractuals, SLAs, KPIs and OKRs
