Job Description

The Teya Group has an exciting opportunity within its Corporate Governance team for a governance professional with some company secretarial experience to join as a Corporate Governance Specialist.  You will report to the Teya Group's Head Company Secretary and support on a variety of governance projects and workstreams. You will help shape and enhance the Teya Group's corporate governance framework as it continuously looks to maintain and improve the effectiveness of its boards to deliver its strategy in the best manner possible.

  • Supporting and working closely with the Teya Group's Head Company Secretary to maintain and enhance the effectiveness of the Teya Group's corporate governance framework.

  • Assisting with company secretarial and corporate governance queries and ensuring these matters are properly and effectively managed.

  • Proactively supporting on a variety of projects aimed at optimising the corporate governance framework of the Teya Group.

  • Production of high-quality board and committee meeting materials and ensuring stakeholder's accessibility to such materials.

  • Helping organise and co-ordinate board and committee meetings across the corporate group.

  • Supporting with minute taking.

  • Drafting and arranging for company filings and ensuring compliance with necessary filings deadlines.

  • Monitoring, reviewing and updating Board and Committee diaries, Terms of Reference and other constitutional documents.

  • Updating and maintaining statutory company registers across the group.

  • Managing directorship roles including appointments and removals as well as any regulatory filings that are required to be made in connection thereto.

  • Ensuring that the group company structure chart is always up to date.

Qualifications

  • Excellent academic credentials (2:1 or above).

  • Some prior experience in a governance or company secretarial role is preferrable.

  • A positive, energetic team member and active contributor in a team environment.

  • Astute commercial approach to solving problems.

  • Strong drafting, communication, organisational, prioritisation and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

  • Confidence in building new relationships and connections, both internally and externally.

  • Ability to work under pressure when managing tight deadlines and seeing tasks through effectively to the end.

  • Tech savvy and willing and able to learn new systems and technologies.
