Job Description

This position will provide support to Quality leadership through system ownership and development as well as support for the plant regarding HACCP and Food Safety requirements.

Key Results Areas for this job are:

  • Develop, document, monitor, and maintain procedures as related but not limited to Food Safety/HACCP, GMP, Calibrations, Pest Control, Mock Recall,  and other regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the audit process for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSSC 22000, GMP and GLP.
  • Generate and assist the logistics and customer service department with certificate of analysis, SARFs, and any other batch release documentation required for shipment.
  • Monitor preventive controls and report noncompliance to appropriate management.
  • Ensure accurate results from the lab and conduct formal release of product
  • Manage and maintain plant and lab equipment calibrations
  • Build, maintain, and execute training programs (departmental and plant wide)
  • Document, monitor and maintain customer relations with customer communication requests and product specification accuracy
  • Maintain and communicate KPIs and root cause problem solving activities as appropriate
  • Serve as a member of the Food Safety Team, Internal Audit Team, GMP Audit Team, and Safety Committee
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Required Knowledge 

  • FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment or at management discretion
  • Current Good Laboratory Practices for food and pharmaceutical excipients
  • General office software tools and data processing (Word, Excel)
  • Chemistry and Microbiology laboratory procedures
  • Preventative Control Qualified Individual (PCQI) or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
  • HACCP Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment or at management discretion
  • SAP functional knowledge

A Bachelor Degree with 3-5 years revelant experience
