With a network of 26 branches across the UK, JDP is undergoing a period of growth and change and we need motivated and knowledgeable people that can help us achieve our goals.
Job Description
This is a very varied role where you can get really stuck in and influence what we’re doing, both technically and commercially. At JDP you’ll be joining a professional and friendly team who are quite frankly drainage geeks. If that’s right up your street then read on…
To be successful in this role you’ll need to answer ‘yes’ to:
- Are you a Civil Engineer who’s switched on by supporting sales teams with product knowledge, particularly when they in turn are supporting a customer’s on-site?
- Have you spent your career in construction, with a particular focus in civils drainage?
- Do you have an in-depth working knowledge of Design and Construction Guidance & Building Regs Part H?
If any of your answers were ‘no’ then this definitely isn’t the role for you! If you’re still with us then we’d love to tell you more.
You’ll have strong links to our Technical and Business Development teams, supporting on in-house design projects and the structural design of our own product range. You’ll lead on understanding changes to legislation and how this will impact our business through products and services.
Providing fantastic customer service is vital to JDP and joining the Sales team on joint customer visits will be important. If there is an issue at site it will be your responsibility to reach a technical resolution that is agreeable to us as a manufacturer and ensures the customer has a satisfactory plan. You will need a proven track record in dispute resolution and root cause analysis.
We’ll ask you to lead product development projects that help expand our in-house product portfolio. You’ll manage projects from start to finish, including the technical aspects of new product launches or manufacturing location changes – ensuring all aspects of the product meet UK requirements.
We are looking for the right person to support our business and we are therefore open to discuss where you are based and hybrid working. You just need to have a driving licence. The role comes with a company car and a competitive benefits package. If you’d like an informal chat about the role then just let us know.
Additional Information
We will not consider overseas applications from candidates with no right to live or work in the UK. Thank you.
