Job Overview:
Are you a skilled MicroSoft Power BI Business Analyst looking to make a significant impact? Join our dynamic team in Phoenix, Arizona to design innovative solutions for business processes. As an MS Power BI Business Analyst at Tessenderlo Kerley, you will be at the forefront of helping our organization leverage Power BI reports and dashboards, providing key insights and solutions for data visualization and reporting challenges.
What you will do:
- Data Model Design: Transform raw data into meaningful insights by designing robust data models tailored to business requirements.
- Dashboard Creation: Develop visual interactive reports and dashboards using MS Power BI.
- Project Management: Drive project execution, manage timelines and ensure the timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Offer expert insights and solutions for complex data visualization and reporting challenges.
- KPI Identification: Identify key performance indicators, set clear objectives, and monitor them consistently.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data and present findings through comprehensive reports that aid decision-making.
- Business Collaboration: Convert business requirements into technical specifications and plan timelines for task completion.
- Script Development: Design, develop and deploy Power BI scripts and conduct detailed analysis.
- DAX Functions: Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI.
- Data Documentation: Create charts and document data algorithms, parameters, models and relationships.
- SQL Querying: Conduct SQL querying to achieve optimal results and develop data warehouses.
- Data Visualization: Use filters and graphs to enhance data understanding.
- System Enhancement: Enhance existing BI systems and define new systems by analyzing current ETL processes.
Qualifications
What we need from you:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years working with Power BI tools.
- Technical Proficiency: Must be proficient in MicroSoft Power BI, with experience creating data-rich dashboards, implementing Row-level Security (RLS) in Power BI, and writing DAX expressions.
- Database Management: Strong knowledge of database management, data modeling, business intelligence, SQL querying, and data warehousing.
- Microsoft BI Stacks: In-depth experience with Microsoft BI stacks like Power Pivot, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
- Data Visualization: Ability to effectively visualize data through charts, reports, and dashboards.
- Software Development: Understand software development architecture and technical aspects.
- ETL/ELT Processes: Experience with ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and/or Data Bricks.
- SAP Experience: SAP Core and SAP BW experience are a plus.
- Adaptability: Eager to learn and adapt to new technologies.
