Job Description

We are recruiting for 2 days per week (Wednesday & Thursday).

We are actively looking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and organised individual to work within the Fabrication Department at our Longtown branch. The Fabrication Department manufactures plastic pipe fittings and adaptors for supply to our network of 26 nationwide branches. If you are a positive individual and not afraid to work hard then you are exactly who we are looking for as you will be expected to work with the Fabrication Team & Manager to ensure the smooth daily running of the Fabrication Workshop whilst providing great service to our clients both internally and externally. If you already have a background in fabrication, joinery or other construction based roles then this could be just the opportunity you have been waiting for.

Your job:

  • Operating and maintaining a safe working environment
  • The manufacture of a wide range of plastic pipe fittings
  • The use of a variety of power tools; band saw, plastic welding guns and pipe saws
  • Fabricating fittings to a high standard within short lead times
  • Specific machinery and product training will be given if required
  • Assisting the Fabrication Team & Manager as required
  • Assisting in logistic duties
  • Assisting in stock control and stock movement duties

  • Have previous experience in a manufacturing role
  • Experience of plastic fabrications which would be a distinct advantage
  • Have good knowledge of power tools and workshop machinery
