Job Description

Play an important role as an Accounting Manager.  You will report directly to the CFO and lead by example a team of twelve.  Your responsibilities will include the ability to lead a diverse team while supporting their professional development and managing all aspects of the Accounting Department.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of auditing experience with one of the Big Four Accounting firms with 2 to 5 years managing a team in a manufacturing environment.  He/She will be judicious, a hard worker but can make time to have fun and enjoy good humor.

What you will do:

  • Manage all aspects of the Accounting department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Costing, Consolidation (Both TKI and TUSA), Credit and Collections
  • Lead the Accounting team in the execution of all duties
  • Hire, train and retain competent accounting staff
  • Manage TKI cash forecasting, including the timing of capex expenditures
  • Organize and facilitate intercompany lending/borrowing, including recommendations on best practices and processes
  • Manage the Treasury function, including working with TG Corporate office on treasury and cash issues and miscellaneous other treasury functions
  • Plan and authorize expenditures in accordance with TKI authority guidelines
  • Make appropriate currency hedging calls in line with Group Treasury requests and discussions
  • Manage TKI receivables and use and advise on a range of credit tools to minimize bad debts
  • Prepare and manage the accurate and timely preparation of monthly consolidated financial results
  • Primary interface with the external auditors and coordinate the mid-year review and year-end audits. Ensure TKI accounting practices meet audit requirements
  • Create and implement TKI financial policies and practices in line with best practices and consistent with TG practices
  • Devise, administer and enforce TKI accounting and TG policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to prepare and analyze critical business opportunities
  • Research, document and implement appropriate technical accounting guidance to ensure proper accounting and reporting
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
  • Other assignments as requested by CFO

Qualifications

What you need to know:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Active CPA license considered a plus.
  • 10 years of accounting experience
  • 3-5 plus years of experience as an Accounting Manager or equivalent in an organization with revenues > $500m
  • SAP knowledge of FICO tools and the interface with other ERP modules
  • Knowledge of HFM reporting tool considered a plus.
  • Consolidation Accounting
  • Credit Management experience is considered essential
  • Treasury Management experience is considered essential
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS standards is critical
  • Ability to supervise and work in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, meet deadlines and achieve stated goals
